Family Nutrition,
Children's Fiction
Hi, thank you for stopping by and welcome!
I’m Jax Perrins - a native Chicagoian now living in the south with my husband, our 4 young kiddos (Isla and Declan are 5, Charlie is 2 and Brooklyn is 9 months) We also have 2 dogs, Luxe and Parker. I published my first children’s book, Taste Buddies – Culinary Colors - Green in January 2024 shortly after making our move to Atlanta and just 2 months before we welcomed our 4th baby. You can imagine life is busy and there are no signs of slowing down anytime soon. As I chip away at making my very own corner of the internet, you can expect to see a little bit of everything as it relates to balancing motherhood, prioritizing the health of myself and my family, and my latest bang at becoming a children’s author!
About My Book, Taste Buddies
Charley and her taste buds invite your child to the table and present healthy foods, a variety of textures, and flavors in an exciting and approachable way. Taste Buddies is the solution to transform mealtime battles into a nutritious culinary adventure! Even the pickiest of eaters have been inspired to try new and nourishing food that fuels their growing bodies and gives them superhero powers!
Nourish your body and integrate healthy habits
A quote that has long stuck with me, is:
“If you don’t make time for your health, you will be forced to make time for your illness.”
Since becoming a mom, taking “care” has taken on a new meaning. I want to be healthy for myself and my family. I want my kids to thrive and understand that food can either help them or leave them feeling not so great. And so, feeding my kids the most nutrient-dense, health-filled plate I can, takes precedence. I don’t focus on eating perfectly at every meal, but making intentional swaps and understanding what you are putting in your body makes all the difference. It doesn’t have to happen all at once, but the mindfulness of what we consume and how we feel as a result will make a huge difference for our own health, and our kiddos.
Eating healthy doesn’t have to be difficult, time-consuming, or expensive, and through sharing recipes, kitchen gadgets, wellness tips, and tricks for picky eaters I have learned along the way, I hope to encourage healthier habits for you and your family.
